The Alumni Association BBQ is Coming!!

 

Hello, alumni and friends!  We hope you’re marking your calendars and making plans to attend the 4^th Annual Hickory High Alumni Association Homecoming BBQ.  It will be Friday, October 23, 2009, at the high school.  The BBQ (sponsored by SHELL’S BBQ in Hickory) will be served from 4:30 to 7:30 pm.  The Homecoming ballgame starts at 7:30 and the Tornadoes will be playing St. Stephens High School.

 

BBQ plates will be $7.00 and sandwiches are $5.00.  Both include tea.   Tickets are available at the door, or call us.   (We have curb service, too!)  We’ll be glad to help. 

 

ALL profits will be used for academic needs at the high school.  We are still working to equip all classrooms with “smartboards” (a priority need based on faculty input) and we have helped get 12 rooms done.  Many remain to be equipped.  Membership fees, donations and fundraisers are our sources of money to date.  Won’t you help by coming to the BBQ AND becoming a member of the association?  We need you and hope you’ll promote our new organization!

 

Several classes have reunions on that same weekend.  The classes of 1974, 1979 and 1989 are meeting.  Any others?  Please send us the info about your reunions so we can post it and help in any way possible.  We hope ALL of you will come to the BBQ on Friday night and kick off your reunion weekend with alumni, friends and a Homecoming Football Game!
